Commercial Solar Panel Cleaning

Solar farms · commercial roofs

Dirty solar panels generate less power. We provide commercial solar panel cleaning for ground-mounted solar farms and accessible business roofs across South Yorkshire and the surrounding area, using de-ionised water and soft brushes only, with no chemicals.

Solar panel cleaning

Why commercial solar panel cleaning matters

Dust, pollen, bird droppings and traffic film build up on solar panels and block the light they need. Rain rarely shifts it, especially on panels at a low tilt, so output can fall without anyone noticing.

Ground-mounted arrays usually get dirtier than roof panels. As a guide, we recommend cleaning once a year, and more often where panels pick up a lot of dirt, but every site is different, and we’ll recommend a schedule for yours.

We already clean solar panels for businesses across the region, including AESSeal and Memoria, and the work is easy to add to your window cleaning.

How we do it

Pure water cleaning for every array

Solar farms

Ground-mounted arrays

Rows of ground-mounted panels are cleaned with water-fed brushes and de-ionised water. We can clean around 300 panels a day on a ground-mounted farm, and we plan the work with you around your site rules, inductions and access.

Business roofs

Accessible roof panels

Panels on commercial roofs are cleaned where they can be reached safely, with every job planned under the Work at Height Regulations.

Why pure water

No chemicals, no residue

De-ionised water has the minerals taken out, so it dries without spots or residue on the glass, and nothing harmful runs off into the ground around your panels.

Questions

Solar panel cleaning FAQs

All FAQs →

How often should commercial solar panels be cleaned?

As a guide, once a year. Panels that pick up a lot of dirt, such as ground-mounted arrays, may need cleaning more often. We’ll recommend a schedule for your site. Do solar panels need cleaning?

Do you clean solar farms?

Yes. Ground-mounted arrays are our preference, and we plan the work around your site rules, inductions and access.

Can you clean the solar panels on our roof?

Yes, if they can be reached safely. Tell us about the roof and the panels on the quote form, and send a few photos if you can.

How many panels can you clean in a day?

Around 300 on a ground-mounted solar farm, depending on the site. Roof-mounted panels take longer, because the work is at height.

Are you insured for solar farm work?

Yes. Every operator holds at least £2 million of public liability insurance, and higher cover is available for larger sites.

Do you use chemicals?

No. We clean solar panels with de-ionised water and soft brushes only, so no residue is left on the glass and nothing harmful runs off.

Do I need to be a window cleaning client?

No. Any business can book it, whether or not we clean your windows. If we do, it’s easy to add to your regular visits. Tell us about your building on the quote form.
